It occurred to me today after I needed to add a signature and several other redundant edits to a document (which was the same document I did yesterday in all the parts except a different party that the day before) that some of those pieces that users are likely to need to access over and over would be nice if they were stored in a module within the program. Example, I know I will need to affix my signature to documents over and over. Some phrases may be often repeated under your name (your position or title, etc.); you may have an address blob or your contact numbers; perhaps a logo. I guess this would be a “gallery” of sorts.

Not to run on too much, but if we are going to store things like our signatures, perhaps a method to password the application or perhaps just the “gallery” so that sensitive materials like your signature can’t be casually used without authority?

Hope this is helpful,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Do you think such a feature would be significantly more effective than having a folder on your hard disk with those same graphics and texts? Since it is a simple matter of drag and drop, I don’t think the gains would be huge, and I would like to avoid bloat in PDFClerk. It is even possible to password protect individual folders in the Finder, with the right software.

That being said, I am not closed to the idea, I can see some merit in it. If people are interested in such a feature I would like to know, hence I added a poll to this thread, so we can gauge how much interest there is for it.
