Can one hide a page number label? For example my first two pages are title pages, and I would like numbering to begin with page 3.

If the page labels are being added by PDFClerk, then, in the page list, simply delete any text from the labels you wish not to have a label. If the page labels are already in the PDF you can hide them with an opaque rectangle.

Thank you. That’s simple enough.

I’ve read this item, but have a problem.  All my pages are in the page list.  I have selected the pages I want to have a number on, and that works OK.  However, I also get a number for the pages I did not select and basically I don’t what to see any number on them at all.  (title pages, words of thanks and back cover etc.) When you mention “delete any text - what exactly am I supposed to delete?  I did try taking out the pages on which I didn’t want a label, getting page numbers for the pages in the list, and then adding at the beginning and the end, the extra pages I don’t want to have numbers on - still gives me a number.  HELP!!!!

I meant deleting the text in the “Label” column in the page list. But that is only correct when you are adding labels where no labels existed. If you want to mask existing labels, you should replace the text by spaces, since the page label boxes will only occupy as much space as needed, and an empty page label will not cover anything.
