Watermarks: Gutter settings not working

I am trying to place a watermark in the lower left of every page, and adjust the Gutter settings so that the graphic has about half an inch of space around it on the left and bottom sides.

The “Gutters” settings no longer work in this way—instead, they crop the graphic itself by the amount entered into the fields.  See the attached screen-grabs for the “before” and “after” scenario.

Thanks for your help in resolving this!  Right now, I’m using a workaround (adding white space to the graphic in Photoshop).

Tony.

Since you are aligning to bottom, try adjusting the top gutter (to a negative number), rather than the bottom gutter. I think that will have the effect you’re after.

Hello again!

I am having a similar problem today with trying to inset a “bottom-right” logo.  See the attached screenshot.

The right inset works fine.  8-)

I have tried setting the bottom and top gutters to both positive and negative numbers, and cannot get the desired spacing, whereby the logo is inset from the bottom of the page by 0.125”.

Thanks for any idea of how to fix this!  I am using PDFClerk Pro 3.9.1.

Hmm, you’re right. That doesn’t work. I’ll need to take a look at that. Meanwhile you can work around it:

-Set alignment to right instead of bottom-right.
-In the Top gutter field enter the value: pageHeight - graphicHeight - bottomGutter. E.g. 11 - 0.438 - 0.125

That should do it.

Fyi ... we also found out today that the “top-left” alignment does not work properly with the “Top” gutter setting (“Left” works OK).
