I’m a newbie at pdfclerk and downloaded, paid for the registratioin fee and aquired the latest beta version. If I look at the “about pdfclerk” tag it tells me it will expire in 11 days, will it? what happens then to my licence?

What expires is the beta version. I’ll post a new version (beta or final) before the expiration date. The license doesn’t expire.
